I like the idea. On the other hand: If 5 tabs and all the overview settings you can load into them arent enough, having 2 overviews probably isn't going to save you.

Early in EVE, there was no overview. CCP made it because it works alot easier (like DOS compared to Windows). I like the idea because of the "otherness" in it, but ECM just jamming your locking abilty seems alot more effective.

Reason is very simple; If you want a fleet, you need numbers. More people will undock in a shield bc (drake or cane) because more more people can fly them. Combine that with the low cost as already mentioned and you have your answer.

I agree that safe docking in high-sec is a bit weird and cowardly. On the other hand, not being able to switch ships in the middle of a fight is worse. Simply copying the agression timer seems a decent solution. The carrier/Orca isn't invulnerable...
